The Tractor Pull Event

A tractor pull is quite a fun event for participants and spectators alike. Pulls draw quite a bit of attention when they are showcased at parades, festivals, and carnivals. Many times, a tractor pull event is utilized so as to raise money for a local charity; and, sometimes, the amount of money that they raise for the charity is quite sizable. So, these events are not only fun to watch and to participate in, but they also help contribute to a good cause.
The rules at a tractor pull can vary, but the differences are not going to be too much different. That is to say, there will not be any pulls that will allow the rope between the tractor and the item being pulled to exceed a length of five hundred feet or anything equally absurd. The rules are usually fairly uniform with only minor differences.
Some of the more interesting rules involve separate categories for antique tractors. And to say that the winner of a competition between antique tractors that are sixty or more years old is intriguing would be an understatement to say the least! That would be sure to draw a sizable crowd. And, if the event is for charity, will hopefully raise a significant amount of money for a good cause.
Sometimes, a tractor pull is a ranked event. That is, the winners and losers are recorded and entered into a database to rank them on a scale to determine who is the top puller in a particular division. The division could be local or national is scope. Or, it could even be international! When the events are ‘ranked’ events, it makes the outcomes even more dramatic.
So, if a tractor pull is going on in your area, swing on down and check it out. Who knows, maybe you’ll get bitten by the competition bug and end up wanted to take art in the next one!
